We provide our students rigorous and challenging academic experiences that create explicit opportunities for them to develop critical analytical skills and the capacity to innovate. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring that our students grow their intellectual confidence so that they may be prepared to take their place in the world. We have built a strong academic reputation as evidenced in our school exit examination results.

Student Voice

We are a school that creates a student-centered learning environment and our classroom norms create a culture where students know that they are validated and that their voice matters. We recognise that every student is different, with different learning styles, gifts and talents. We seek to recognise these in our planning of the lessons. We also place high value on close student-teacher collaboration, where we encourage the practice of reflection and feedback during lessons.

Beyond The Classroom Opportunities

We recognise the contribution of physical education and the arts to the health and well-being of our students and believe that a varied co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all students. Thus, we offer a wide range of musical, arts and sports activities and the opportunity for students to participate competitively both locally and internationally in their chosen club or sport.

Challenging our students outside the classroom strengthens their teamwork, resilience and leadership skills. Our Novaneers build valuable skills and attitudes that become lessons for life through their extra-curricular activities.

Culture First

The character of a Novaneer is defined by our six Culture Principles - High Expectations, Always Growing, Servant Leadership, Joy of Learning, Greater Together and Solutions First. These are the mindsets and behaviours that reflect our values, and to which we aspire. They challenge our students to constantly stretch towards their best selves: to set high expectations, grow from every challenge, and seek to serve others over ourselves.
